Special Education

Eanes ISD offers a free and appropriate public education to all children ages 3- 21. Services for students who are deaf-blind, visually impaired or auditorily impaired begin at birth.

We are committed to providing every student with a disability an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in the least restrictive environment that addresses the student’s unique needs.We offer a full continuum of services through specially designed instruction in special education or general education with modifications, special education support, supplementary aids and services and related services.

SEAL Parent Info -
The Summer Earn and Learn program provides students with disabilities, aged 14 - 22, with work readiness training and paid experiences. Come learn from a SEAL Goodwill Internship Specialist.

SAMA for Parents -
SAMA is the program that Eanes ISD uses to de-escalate situations and for containments. In this training, you will learn the script that is used to help bring a student to a rationale state of mind to problem solve. You will also receive information about policies around physical containments and what those look like if they occur.

ARD 101 -
Learn about the pre-ARD and ARD process in Eanes ISD. We will discuss what our procedures are for before, during, and after an ARD. We will also go over some commonly used terms and acronyms to help you feel better prepared for the ARD process in Eanes.

Education Department Program Review. You will be able to provide suggestions and ideas
around the recommendations of the 5 themes.

Dinner from 6:00 - 6:30pm. Symposium begins at 6:30pm. Must RSVP by October 30th for dinner and/or childcare specialed@eanesisd.net

Youth Mental Health First Aids -
Youth Mental Health First Aid is a certified course designed for adults who regularly interact with adolescents ages 12-18. It teaches how to help a child who is experiencing a mental health or addiction challenge or who is in crisis. While the target group is for adolescents, there are take-aways for all age groups.
